New England Web Site Gets a New Look

The New England Historic Genealogical Society has revamped its Web site.

By Diane Haddad

The New England Historic Genealogical Society (NEHGS) <www.newenglandancestors.org> has revamped its Web site with a cleaner look and quicker access to its features. Five main navigation tabs – Home, Research, Libraries, Marketplace and Education Center – replace the site’s overwhelming original 14 tabs. The home page highlights what’s new on the site, as well as NEHGS membership information. Searching is more accurate, and a Reference Room (under the Research tab) provides materials such as New England town guides. Maps and dictionaries are planned.
