Another of our favorite blogs, this newsy site by genealogy-technology veteran Dick Eastman also covers topics such as book reviews, “What is the Cloud and Why Should I Care?” and “How to Achieve Virtual Immortality.” An annual $19.95 gets you the Plus edition with no ads and extra content.

In addition to the genealogy apps for Facebook, a who’s who of archives, genealogy and historical societies, libraries, sites and software makers have their own pages. This site from George G. Morgan and Drew Smith, the “longest-running, regularly produced genealogy podcast in the world,” is worth a look for written news and highlights even if you don’t listen. But you should: Their catalog of podcasts now numbers more than 250 programs.
