The Origins.net sites keep on growing. Recently, a host of Yorkshire marriage records were added to English Origins at <www.englishorigins.com>, a site associated with the English Society of Genealogists. The marriage records are part of Boyd’s Marriage Index, which contains 500,000 names and spans the years 1538 to 1840. Also, several sets of vital records were posted to Scots Origins at <www.scotsorigins.com>. These include 1901 birth and marriage records and 1906 death records. Both sites charge for access to these records. English Origins charges about $8.50 for 150 credits valid for 48 hours; Scots Origins charges the same for 30 credits valid for 24 hours.

Origins.net also launched a free search site called Irish Origins at <www.irishorigins.com>. This search engine will comb 22,351 Irish genealogy Web pages containing 1.4 million names for your ancestors. These pages contain records such as census data, Griffith’s valuations, passenger lists, church records, convict records and more. You’ll also find information about Irish record archives and other useful Irish Web sites.
